Watchmen Prayer Ministry

“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:6-7

The Watchmen Prayer Ministry of BBC is the rallying point for the serious intercessors of the church. The Watchmen do not meet very often (about once every 2 or 3 months). Instead, they spend most of their time on their knees in prayer.

This prayer ministry is designed to direct the prayers of its members along specific lines of intercession for the church. The watchmen pray that the members of BBC will -

  • lead lives of personal holiness [1 Pet 1:14-16];
  • be repentant of their sins [1 John 1:8-2:1];
  • spend time in God’s word and prayer [Ps 119:169-176];
  • desire to see the lost know the Lord [Rom 9:1-3];
  • actively share their faith in keeping with Christ’s command [Matt 28:16-20];
  • be committed to the ministries of the church [Eph 3:7-11];
  • be unified as brothers and sisters in Christ [John 17:6-26];
  • experience personal and church wide revival [Ps 85:6];
  • glorify and enjoy God in all that they do [1 Cor 10:31; Ps 27:4].
